Children In Need 2011 Line Up
It is one of the most important events on the calendar for children in need. The primary goal is to change children’s life for the better. Even with a small donation you can help children surrounded by death, hunger, despair and disease.
The simple necessities of putting food on the table can be a far reach for some, waking up with nothing, homeless and in need of the basics that we so often take for granted. These children are not only the most vulnerable they are also the most neglected and disadvantaged in Great Britain.
The line-up this year is second to none. Here is a list of some of the acts and talent that will be taking part for children in need this year.
Sir Terry Wogan
The event will also contain surprise guests.
Susan Boyle is said to be performing a track from her upcoming album “Someone To Watch Over Me”. Sir Terry Wogan who has been a long standing host will again be presenting the show this year along with Alesha Dixon, Tess Daly and Fearne Cotton. Fearne Cotton will be joining Terry Wogan in the latter half of the event.
Jessie J has announced that she will be taking part in this year’s event along with the beautiful Cheryl Cole. Kylie Minogue will also be in the mix in what’s lining up to be an exciting event.
The telethon is set to air on November 18th and will be broadcasted live by the BBC. Children in need has been in operation since 1980 and has raised over 500 million.
We all have something to give.
There are a number of ways in which you can help raise money for children in need. A little donation can make a big difference. There are all sorts of fundraising ideas from posters to sponsorship forms.
You can pick up a fundraising pack that will guide you in what to do and where you can help. All you need to do is take part and follow the guidelines. You can also shop online at BBC.co.uk and buy children in need goodies.
There is also an exclusive auction set up by the BBC to raise money for this year’s children in need. The money that is contributed through this event will be donated to organisations that are on the front line supporting children in Great Britain.
