BBC Children In Need

Since the first telethon in 1980, the BBC has proudly enjoyed more than 30 years of raising much needed public donations for the United Kingdom’s Children in Need. On 16 November, miracles will once again occur as an exciting assortment of acts in entertainment take to the stage for this important charity telethon.

This year’s Children in Need Appeal 2012 takes place on 16 November and will again include longtime heartwarming host Sir Terry Wogan. Sir Terry Wogan welcomes an outstanding variety of celebrities as well as popular singers and musical groups dedicated to reaching and surpassing the monetary target in hopes of breaking all previous campaign totals. Former co-host Tess Daly will be doing her part and more for the important campaign by hosting a live televised ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ show airing from Wembley Arena on 17 November 2012.

The stellar annual BBC event endlessly strives to provide funding for all Children in Need who are 18 years of age and younger and living within the United Kingdom. Stipulation of campaign amounts continues to gear toward assisting children currently suffering from all forms of poverty and hunger as well as victims of child abuse and neglect. Donations also assist children struggling with disorders involving behavioral, physical and psychological aspects as well.

The renowned and successful campaign has and continues to raise record-breaking funding totals. As in the many impressive past campaigns, this year’s Children in Need 16 November appeal, the BBC and longtime host Sir Terry Wogan will again work diligently to obtain important funding. With the outstanding assistance of celebrities including Tess Daley, the telethon will rely on the viewership’s personal donations along with large corporate sponsorship levels. Viewers will have the pleasure of hearing the BBC Children in Need official song ‘Something New’, performed by the popular musical group ‘Girls Aloud.’ Of course, the renowned fund-raising event would not be complete without the adorable and lovable Children in Need Mascot Pudsey-Bear leading the festivities.

Be sure to mark your calendars on 16 November, 2012 for this significant and exciting all-star charity campaign and assist by doing your part for the United Kingdom’s Children in Need community. No donation is too small, and every amount helps greatly for this worthy and superior cause.
