Diamond Jubilee Concert Fit for a Queen

This June 2012, Britain will be celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s sixtieth year as reign of the United Kingdom with a series of events known as the Diamond Jubilee. Her Majesty will be honoured with a number of events including Diamond Jubilee concert scheduled for Monday June 4, 2012.

The Queen herself will be on hand to make an appearance at this event along with other possible members of the royal family. The event will be staged in front of Buckingham Palace and will be held rain or shine. The stage will be set up in the palace gardens so the audience will be able to pass through the palace en route to the seating are. If you so desire a meal fit for a king or queen, visitors can partake in the Jubilee picnic before the music begins.

Diamond Jubilee Concert Line-up

Although much has changed for Britain and in fact the world over the past six decades, Britain’s ability to produce world-class musical talent has not faded. The Diamond Jubilee Concert will feature the legendary Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Tom Jones. These three musicians are as fine a representative of Britain’s musical prowess and their accomplishments and appearance are literally fitting for such a wonderful occasion. In addition, the line-up will also feature British, American, and other artists that include Jessie J, Ed Sheeran, JLS, Lang Lang, Gary Barlow, Kylie Minogue, Jools Holland, and Cliff Richard,. Also making a special appearance will be America’s R &B legend Stevie Wonder to liven up the star-studded occasion

Tickets for the concert were distributed by a ballot and are unfortunately no longer available to the public. The concert will be broadcasted by the live on BBC One and Radio 2 so that fans the world over can be part of this momentous event.

In addition to the Diamond Jubilee Concert, Britain will host a number of other events to celebrate the queens jubilee during the week of June 2 to 5, 2012. Included are Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, The Big Jubilee Lunch and The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.
